THE AUTHOR

Roman Gabriel Rendon, born November 24, 1969, in Los Angeles, California, named after the quarterback from North Carolina State, who was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1962. It’s somewhat ironic that Roy and Alice Rendon read a copy of the Football News in October 1969, which touted Roman Gabriel on the cover. Roman Rendon now makes his home in North Carolina. Little would anyone know the future North Carolina- Los Angeles connection was later to be the case. He grew up in Montebello, California, and attended Schurr High School.
 
Through the years, Roman has been a process engineer in the manufacturing industry. However, his passion for cooking has grown and now holds a degree in the culinary arts cooking gourmet recipes. What is very interesting, Roman’s background in engineering and statistical applications plays a very big role in the kitchen. Understanding consistency, reproducibility, and repeatability applies to many aspects of cooking. Anticipate a cookbook to be written, but applying principles of efficiency for lowering grocery costs and most of all, eating healthy. Roman nearly lost his life while writing the 5 Ps, with massive internal bleeding from severe complications of liver disease.
 
Roman’s vision of a restaurant catering business called MADEASY launched in 2024.
